The Evolution of My Project Me
Since the launch of the Project Me website in 2013, there’s been a certain formula to how I’ve written over 100 of my blog posts:
- Identify the pain point / problem
- Show you that I get it / I’ve been there too
- Offer tried and tested tools and strategies to solve the problem
- End with a clear call to action.
This was my own way of living for many years and I stand by the Project Me framework of checking in with your life to see what’s working and what’s not so you aren’t living with unnecessary struggles. I even wrote a whole book about it.
But here’s what’s interesting.
10+ years of monthly check-ins and meet-ups with my Power Posse have put me in close touch with my life, my emotions, and how to navigate through a whole range of challenges. And as my own Project Me continues to evolve, I’ve come to see how I limit myself by thinking that life is simply about a whole lot of choices, decisions and problems that need solving.
I now have a better understanding of the energetic current that runs through all of our lives. I can see the patterns we fall into and how often we pin ourselves to the vibration of everything that’s going ‘wrong’ or needs fixing.
As Albert Einstein said,
“We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.”
I’m learning to focus less on what isn’t working in my life so I’m not stuck in the vibration of the problem. I focus more on what brings me joy, love and appreciation. And when I am in that higher vibrational state, the problems either sort themselves out or fresh solutions arise naturally. It does involve a good degree of letting go and trusting that everything will work out for my highest good. (Not easy, but it always does.)
The challenge I’ve had lately with writing fresh Project ME blog posts is to try to keep to the ‘problem solving formula’ when I’m no longer in that mindset. When you try to be something to everyone, you end up being ‘vanilla’ – which is a popular flavour but you can find it anywhere and everywhere. I’d rather be pistachio or mint chocolate chip or salted caramel with extra nuts ! (Yes, I’m ice cream obsessed…)
My previous blog posts are written with the objective of helping you with common struggles in each of your 8 Key Life Areas. From How to Overcome Overwhelm, to How to Stop Shouting at Your Kids, to How to Get Your Sex Life Back on Track, to How to Start Your Own Business. I’ve brought in experts in health, fitness, money, love and friendships – and it remains a treasure trove of proven solutions to a myriad of problems. These older posts are not going anywhere because sometimes we really do need practical help to get us unstuck.
Going forward, I want to write and speak less about problem-solving (the old me), and more about living with flow and ease and how to get into vibrational alignment to bring out the expanded version of you.
Too many of us are operating on a substandard level of ‘just getting by’. We become reduced to using our mind to try to fix everything. That ‘small me’ way of being keeps us feeling unnecessarily trapped by our circumstances.
When you tune into yourself and spend more time focusing on what lights you up, you’ll become less fixated on the issues or caught up in the dramas. Daily decisions will become effortless when you are in the true flow of life. As your vibration goes up, that whole part of you that tries to fix and solve and decide will become much quieter and fade out of the picture. And then that expanded version of you will be looking back saying, ‘What was that all about?’
This is definitely what’s happening to me. A shedding of old baggage that used to weigh me down and a dissolving of filtered lenses which distorted my vision. I can see much more clearly now and the view is absolutely beautiful.
I’m a manifesting-machine, attracting the people, things and opportunities that show up to assist me constantly. It makes life feel very fun and playful.
The Project Me blog has been about documenting my journey while inspiring you to enjoy yours. But the blog is not my business. You may have noticed that I don’t sell ads or do sponsored posts or product placements. I have written about my love of Marie Forleo’s B-School and The Parent Practice and Bump & Beyond Online Fitness long before either made me an affiliate / ambassador.
My actual income-generating business is my Project WE membership site and that is where my true passion lies. I’m a community leader, content creator, storyteller and workshop facilitator. I adore the connections within the Project WE ‘Power Posse’ community and feel incredibly grateful to have attracted such amazing women from all over the world into this space.
I’m open to starting a podcast if I notice signs and signals to move forward with that idea. I’m learning to wait to respond, rather than jumping on things straight away.
I guess what I’m trying to say here is – watch this space! Lots of wonderful things to come if you continue to be alongside me on this Project Me journey.
