Make Your Business Dreams Come True With Marie Forleo’s B-School

In 2013 I was open and curious to discover what my true gifts and passions were – and then Marie Forleo appeared.

I watched her videos about how to start a business around doing what you already love. It got my cogs turning and opened up a fresh idea.

Next, B-School appeared. An incredible online course that teaches how to transform an idea into a successful business. I allowed my intuition to guide me.

Project Me was originally a book idea. It came to me in a vision when I was writing out my goals in January 2012. But it soon dawned on me that it was going to be damn hard to get a book publishing deal with absolutely no platform. No website, so social media – NOTHING. Why would a publisher be interested in what I had to say? I was ‘just a mother’…

I was fortunate enough to stumble across my business mentor Marie Forleo. I was drawn to her passion for teaching women how to reach for their dreams and create businesses and lives they love.

I’d only heard about Marie Forleo’s B-School a couple of days before registration was about to close. It only runs once a year and if I didn’t do it then I’d have to wait another whole year. It looked like exactly the training I needed  so I showed it to my husband and he agreed that it was everything I needed in one neat package.

I took a very deep breath, signed up with shaking hands, and then began jumping around the house singing, ‘I’m going to B-School!’ to the delight of my bewildered kids! I was beyond excited and I didn’t even know yet then how much it was going to positively change my life.

B-School helped me to quickly launch a business I’m passionately in love with that fitted in around my family. I could work while my kids were in school, never miss any of their events, take holidays when we want – and be a positive role model for them. My kids became my assistants and I involved them in many decisions, including logo design and photography. When my son was 12 and I was running my first online course, he was my paid admin assistant and did a brilliant job! He’s now at university now  studying International Business and still helps me out on projects. 

Whenever my husband gets a job transfer and we have to move home and country, I simply take my business with me.

Oh – and remember that online presence I was lacking when I wanted to write a book and felt like a nobody? Fast forward to my amazement when my literary agent was handling the bidding war over my book publishing deal! Yep. True story. That goal I wrote down in 2012 is now a reality. ‘Project Me for Busy Mothers’ – available now on Amazon!

I owe it all to B-School for giving me the tools and strategies I needed to get my idea up off the ground and running. I’ve also seen it transform countless existing businesses. I give it two thumbs up if you are considering joining the next round of B-School!
