Morning-Thymus-Gland-Tapping

Morning Energy Booster: Thymus Tapping

Okay, I’m going to let you in on a pretty weird secret. Every morning when I wake up, I stimulate my thymus gland while saying positive affirmations.

And you might ask yourself, ‘Where exactly is my thymus gland?’  ‘How did I get here? This is not my beautiful house!’ (Sorry, that one goes out to any other Talking Heads fans out there. I couldn’t resist.)

I know it sounds utterly bonkers, but I learned about morning thymus tapping from an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practitioner at the very first Project Me Ibiza retreat in 2015 and I’ve been doing it ever since. It wakes me up, no matter how groggy I’m feeling. I then added some beautiful affirmations that my fab friend Suzie gave me, adapting it all into a morning ritual that puts me into a state of positive energy in a few short minutes. (My teenage son also does it on school-mornings.)

I’ve been wanting to share how I do thymus tapping, but it’s hard to explain in writing so I have FINALLY recorded a Vlog (video blog) to show you how it’s done.

Press play on the video below

I’ve kept the video short so you can return to it for guidance if you want to do it again, but here’s the more detailed low-down on the function of the thymus gland and why morning thymus tapping works.

The thymus gland lies just beneath the upper part of the breastbone in the middle of the chest. It is the master gland of your immune system, defending against disease and infection. It plays a big role in keeping your life energy vibrating in high frequency. When the thymus gland is in harmony it can increase your strength and vitality.

It has been discovered that negative thinking weakens the thymus gland, whilst feelings of love, trust, gratitude and courage raises its energy. This is why stimulating your thymus gland, whist simultaneously thinking or saying positive affirmations is a powerful combo for both the mind and body.

My son and I have rarely been sick since we started doing this and I believe it makes us more confident, self-assured and accepting of our own faults and those of others. We’ve also started doing guided meditations together using my favourite app, Insight Timer. It all helps!

Click the image below for a PDF script which you can use as a crib sheet until you’ve memorised it. Remember, you can absolutely adapt the wording to suit you.

As woo-woo as it sounds, morning thymus tapping is a simple way to give yourself a positive boost. Learning how to speak more nicely to yourself is always a good idea, so add in those friendly affirmations.

Keep an open mind, give it a try and let me know what you think in the comments below. If you have any questions, ask away!

I just did this along with you and do feel more awake now! I use EFT a lot and had not heard of this type. What a great new strategy for me. Thank you! And your nails do look great! 🙂

Ha ha! Here I am, always advocating a DROP PERFECTION mentality, and yet I couldn’t make the damn video until my nails looked presentable! (But seriously, if you could see my red CHIPPED nails today…)

I’m happy you liked it and hope you’ll weave Tapping into your morning wake up routine! 🙂 x

This is music to my ears Rocio! If even one person watches this video and turns it into their own morning ritual, I’ll be happy I made it. You can see how convinced I am that it’s enhancing my life. (And my son too!) Let me know how you get on. xx

I tried it! Seemed to work. I’m feeling optimistic. Thx! And I will tell my husband about it. (My daughter a bit too young, but maybe I will teach her in a year or two) 🙂

    • Kelly Pietrangeli on October 3, 2017 at 10:39 PM

Wonderful Jennifer! Yes, establish it as a ritual for yourself first and soon you’ll become a natural role model for your daughter to join in when she’s ready. 🙂

Great video…did you know that the Thymus gland reaches its peak of productivity around 21years of age and then begins to decline over the years…another good reason to keep it functioning as well as possible. ???

I’ve been tapping on/off for a few years. I’m happy I found your simple few minute process and I practice it daily. I sometimes change the wording depending on how I feel. A wonderful way to start my day! I feel it makes a difference and so easy to do. Thank you very much.
