Gaining a Fresh Perspective On Life

Gaining a Fresh Perspective On Life
Tell Us What You Think.

My recent two weeks in Costa Rica reminded me of the value of stepping away from your normal life so you can begin to see the bigger picture stuff.

Gently swaying in my hammock high above the mangrove trees I felt a lightness from my normal daily routine. The things I’d normally be busying myself with simply didn’t exist.

No housework, meal planning, food shopping, cooking and clearing up. Without emails to respond to, my weekly newsletter to compose or blog posts to edit – my mind was relaxed and open.

While the kids were off exploring, I’d lie in my favourite hammock and read. My kind of bliss!

It was during one of my hammock sessions that I began thinking about my business.

It’s been two years since the launch of Project Me and I’m proud of what it’s growing into. Mothers from all over the world sign up for my Monday Motivator newsletter each day and I get a big smile on my face and say thank you by name out loud whenever someone new joins my list.

I began thinking about my goals for Project Me. I’ve never wanted my business to be my blog. Selling advertising space on my website or doing product placements within my blog posts are not the direction I want to head.

I get the biggest joy out of helping others. My ‘zone of genius’ is showing mothers how to set goals that’ll make a big difference to their everyday happiness and to give them the tools, guidance and accountability to take action and see things through.

I can write blog posts about that but I know that real, long lasting, positive results come with a more hands on, step by step process. Accountability, clear action steps, bouncing ideas off of others. We all need to feel inspired and motivated to keep going, especially when life feels challenging.

Reading a blog post about goal setting is never going to get you anywhere near what joining an online programme will do.

So I began thinking more about my upcoming 4-week online programme Back to ME! and wondering if I’m clear enough about what an utterly awesome and life changing experience this is for those who participate.

My last Goal Diggers group of 40 mamas from all over the world was incredible! Witnessing all of their achievements over that month made me feel like a proud mother hen and the private members group continues to be their place to seek advice and share wins.

I’m super excited to be running it again with even more bonuses and fresh videos and audios.

At this time of year it’s pretty impossible to break free from normal responsibilities and get the kind of perspective I got swinging in my jungle hammock.

But my Back to ME! programme is designed to give you a fresh outlook amongst your day to day busyness.

In just one month you can find your focus and set goals that’ll help you feel in control and on top of your busy life. You’ll recognise your time sucks and poor habits that aren’t serving you or your family and turn them around into something positive.

You can start living with more purpose instead of just dealing with whatever’s in front of your face each day.

September is the month for fresh starts and new ways of doing things that feel more productive and rewarding.

I have several great ideas brewing for even more ways to help you live a happier, more balanced life and this Back to ME! programme really is the foundation on which to build on. It’s the perfect way to really get going on your Project Me with loads of personal guidance from me.

If you haven’t got the Project Me Life Wheel® yet, grab it here for free. It’s the very first step in figuring out what needs your focus first.

If you decide you want to take it deeper and join in the programme, it kicks off on September 14th. Click here for full details.

One more revelation from my hammock… Rather than continuing to move around the Project Me Life Wheel and blogging on a different life area each week, I’d like to experiment with topics relating to personal goals, getting clear about what you want and any potential blocks that stop you from moving forward.

We’ll look at things like perfectionism, guilt, worry, intolerance and how to let go of beliefs that are no longer serving you.

In the comments below, let me know what you think. Do you like the sound of this subtle shift in direction for Project Me? Would you like more help with keeping a positive mindset, overcoming negative self beliefs and being your best version of you more often? Let me know what other topics you’d like to read about. I’ve got a fresh open mind!

Thank you for being your amazing self.

I’ve been following Project Me for a few months now and I want to thank you for all of the inspiration you’ve shared and the tools and strategies you give us busy mothers. They have helped me a lot although I know if I put my mind to it and actually scheduled time for Project Me I would make a lot more progress than I have.

I am thinking of treating myself to your course – a gift to myself. I’m just worried I won’t have time to do it and it will be one more thing to beat myself up over! How can I discipline myself to follow through on things?? That would be a good blog topic. I like your idea of writing about all of those important things you have suggested above. Keep all of the good stuff coming please! I appreciate it so much. It really is making a difference. You are making a difference!

    • Jessie I truly hope you do treat yourself to the Back to ME programme because I’ll teach you how to follow through. It’s a step by step process that takes you from your Dream Vision of how you want your life to look, to the small step actions and habits and rituals that’ll get you there. You’ll have the support of me and your fellow Mama Masterminders to help hold you accountable and keep you motivated and fired-up.

I’m so happy to hear that Project Me is making a difference to your life. This programme will help you put it all together in a way that makes it much easier to take action and follow through. I hope to see your name on the class roster! 🙂

This shift fits so well with what you taught us in the last 4-week course about staying true to your goals and tweaking things along the way. I’m so excited to see you’re future posts and what will come from your choice to honor your desire to help moms with goal setting and the like! You have already had a huge impact on us, with the passion behind this shift I’m positive you’ll be wowing us.

Thanks so much for all you give!

    • It was such a pleasure having you in the last round of this programme Aletha and I appreciate your feedback here. It’s amazing mamas like you who keep ME inspired and motivated! So thank YOU. 🙂

This feels like you are putting into action what you encourage us to do, to evolve!

For a number of years I’ve looked forward to taking a few hours during our holiday, when my husband and I are relaxed, to discuss our hopes and dreams for the months ahead, and to pick out our priorities, both as individuals and as a family to work on.

Today I’ve just printed out some Challenge & Ideas into Action sheets to put our discussion into action & we haven’t been home 24 hours yet!

Thank you for providing the tools, framework and encouragement.

    • Yay Sam! I love how fired up you sound – woo hoo! How wonderful that you and your hubby chose that relaxed time to put your heads together and DREAM. Having a dream vision of how you want things to go truly is the first step. You have to know WHAT you want, right? The next thing to ask yourself is WHY you want it and what might happen if you do NOTHING.

Then of course the next step is to create your plans of action and begin TAKING action.

Small steps will get you there. Keep up the fantastic work Sam 🙂

LOVE the sound of conquering limiting beliefs. That’s the number one struggle with my clients too, so I’m loving your subtle shift 🙂

    Hi Kelly,

I love the subtle shift in focus! I think overcoming the barriers you mention, working towards greater self awareness and shifting to a more positive mindset are the keys to achieving our personal goals in all the areas of the project me life wheel. I am excited and looking forward to the next round of blog posts!!!

And to anyone considering the 4 week programme… a member of the first group to do it, I had all the same doubts about time, extra demands, money, being self indulgent etc etc. It was fantastic! You will have time! You will love it! Just go for it….it really does make a difference!
